We need volunteers to help make our Grad Night 2012 a total success. Things are going to be different this year, Michele and I have decided to break the mold. In making this decision, we are going to need some help. We are going to try and keep our prime information close, but we realize in doing this on our own, there is no way we would be able to manage all we need to do to make this event successful. Here are some of the things we really need a parent to step up and help with!
FUNDRAISING: This we hope, will be a low maintenance position. We have placed the tip jars around the valley, so it would possibly be collecting the monies and making sure deposits were made with the PTSA. Helping kids with some fund raising ideas... You will also be working with the prize procurement chairperson to contact local business for donations.
PRIZE PROCUREMENT: This person will be contacting local/not local businesses for donations in many forms. This really is a job for all people associated with Grad Night, but one person to keep track of all our donations, so we are not double dipping.
PUBLICITY: You be in charge of our signage around the school, making an ad for the CATTAILS newsletter at the high school.
CHAPERON/ VOLUNTEER ROUND-UP: We need one person to be in charge of all our terrific volunteers. Making sure we are all covered at the venues, promotion booths at high school functions and whatever else we will need volunteers for. Again this is not a job for one person, you alone are not going to be manning the promotion booths at the high school. It's just making sure we have the coverage we need.
TICKET SALES: We need a clever person to grab the attention of the kids and get them to buy the tickets to our Grad Night. You might have to work with the chaperon/volunteer person to get help manning booths at the high school events.
DECORATIONS: This is another one that a few people will need to work together, but have one person overseeing the details. This should be pretty simple given our venues, however is going to be fun!
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, we look forward to working with you.
Felicia and Michele
